The looong wait - Most anticipated books for the rest of the year.

Hi Guys!

Any book lover will understand the pain and torment of waiting for new books to come out. It can feel like a million years when your waiting for that perfect book to finally be in your hands.....

So, I thought that I would share with you my most anticipated books for the rest of the year!
I'm  going to take it month by month starting with next month (June).
Okay, lets go!

June:

This is another anthology similar to the ' My true love gave to me' one, the only difference is this one is all about the summer romances, and I'm definitely up for that!

by Sarvenaz Tash
This book just sounds so cool. It seems to be full of nerdyness, love and just plain awesomeness!

July:
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Although I'm not to sure how exactly I'm going to feel about this next instalment, I'm still definitely excited to see! I'm hoping the warm buttery feelings of coming home will surface just like before.

August:
Not too sure about this month which is a shame but there is always books to read!

September:

By Daniella Page..
I quite enjoyed her previous Dorothy Must Die series and this sounds quite interesting too. (I'm a sucker for a retelling.)

By Leigh Bardugo
I can't wait to read the next instalment of this series, I'm so excited!

October:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Illustrated edition
I thought the first book in this lovely illustrated edition was absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to see the next one!

By Rick Riordan
I love anything by Rick Riordan and am especially excited to see what happens next in this Norse mythology world.

November:

By Marissa Meyer
As I said before, I love retellings, and I especially love Marrisa Meyer's ( The Lunar Chronicles). I also have a deep love for Alice in Wonderland, so this book will be perfect for me.

By Cassandra Clare
Anything by Cassandra Clare is a must buy for me. Her writing is just so amazing and her characters are ones you fall in love with ( Will ).

December
Again not to sure but I'm excited to see what happens!

So those are the books I'm most excited to see released this year!

What Social Media Next?

Hi guys!

So as of now I only have two platforms for Break the Spine;

Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/BreakTheSpine/

and of course, this Blog.

So.........

I thought that it would be a good idea to start expanding because I recognise that reading a whole Blogpost may not be as convenient as, say watching a video on YouTube or seeing a tweet or a picture on Instagram.

So, I want to know your thoughts!

What Social Media should be next for Break the Spine?

Please do let me know in comments.

The Unexpected Everything - Morgan Matson

Hi Guys.

Before I even get into anything, can we please just take a minute to recognise the fact that this cover has cute dogs on it..... And an Ice cream van!!

Best.Cover.Ever!

Now that that's over, lets get into the actual book.

I loved it, to put it plainly. It was brilliant. It had everything one could want from a Morgan Matson book.

It was a summery romance full of self discovery, friendship and awesomeness. ( Not to mention the fact that we get to look in on characters from previous books to see how they're getting on.)

Over all, this book is just an amazing light hearted and fun book. It made me laugh out loud many times, and finishing it has given me a sadness and longing for more.

I would rate the book a 10/10 and i would definitely recommend it.

Hello again!

Hello!!

It's definitely been a while. Too long. I am terribly sorry for the lack of writing but I have had things cropping up in life that have needed dealing with.

However, I'm definitely feeling more grounded now, so my life can continue ahead.

Throughout this time I still haven't stopped reading, so you'll certainly be getting a lot out of me in the time to come, so stay tuned for that!

Thankyou for understanding my absence.

End of November and December TBR (to be read)

Last month in October, a tonne of new and exiting books were released. So most of these books are the ones that were released last month, however 2 aren't.

Okay so the first book I have is Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan.
I got this book only quite recently so I will probably end up reading this next month in Decemeber, because even though this was a highly anticipated book of mine, I want to leave a lot of time towards it so that I can really enjoy it.

The next book I have on my list is Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone - Illustrated edition. I have decided that I'm going to specifically read this in December as that's when I usually re-read my Harry Potter books. this new illustrated edition, although it has the same text, offers a completely new way to experience the Harry Potter stories, and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful.

Next, I have Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. As soon as I heard about this book, I immediately began frantically searching on Google trying to find out information on it. I think that the storyline is very imaginative, as well as the way the story is presented. I can't wait to read it

Lastly, I have The Coldest girl in Coldtown by holly Black. I have been meaning to pick up this book for quite a while now, so I thought that now would be a perfect opportunity. I think the storyline sounds very interesting and I'm already a fan of Holly Black's writing, so I hope it lives up to my expectations, which I'm sure it will.

So, that's my TBR for the end of November and also December!
If you have any suggestions for books you've recommend for me to read and review or you'd just love to say something, then please feel free to leave a comment below.
