Looking for Alaska - John Green

Looking for Alaska follows Miles (Pudge) Halters on his journey through a year at the Culver Creek boarding school. He decided to go there in search of his "great perhaps" in life. Miles' special "talent" is that he remembers people's last words. It is there that he meets Alaska, the beautiful, book loving, cigarette smoking and unmistakeably messed up girl who lives several dorms down.

Personally John Green is my favourite author and I love all of his works. However this book was my least favourite of all 5 of his books.Having red this after The Fault in our Stars and Paper Towns ( my favourite John Green book ) I had extremely high expectations.

Don't get me wrong, I still liked the book. It had the great character development that can be expected from all John Green books along with the wonderful metaphorical meanings that make you question your entire being.

I have found that with all John Green books the interpretations are different to individuals and my experience certainly won't be exactly alike to anyone else's.

I would give this book 7/10 stars and would strongly encourage you to read this and post your interpretations and views on the book in the comments section below.
